Features & Applications

The SM-8X3-HDA is a versatile multi-input A/V matrix switch that independently switches eight sets of component YpbPr or component RGBHV video and analog/digital audio signals to any or all of the three outputs. All input/output selections are clearly displayed on the front panel with blue LED indicators.

You can also switch S-Video and composite video signals from VCRs, digital video recorders and satellite set-top receivers.

Color-coded BNC jacks are provided on the rear panel for fast and easy hook-up. Each time an input/output combination is selected, all of the video and audio jacks that correspond to the selected input are assigned to the selected output.

Supports High Definition and Standard Definition component video, plus VGA (RGBHV), S-Video (with special adapter cables), and composite video.
Audio can be Left and Right stereo or digital PCM.
Any input can drive either 1, 2 or 3 of the outputs.
Any SDTV and HDTV formats accepted, including 480i, 576i, 480p, 576p, 1080i/540p & 720p. If VGA switching, supports resolutions up to 1920x1080.
All video inputs and outputs have BNC cable connectors.
Switching can be done via front panel buttons, supplied IR remote or RS232.
Up to 15 units can be controlled by one remote or RS232 interface.
RS232 port provides connection to control systems such as Crestron, AMX, Panja, Dataton.

- Two stereo analog audio jacks (standard line-type left and right pairs).
- One PCM digital audio jack.

Video bandwidth -3 dB at 140 MHz, linear-phase passband, unity gain terminated to 75 ohms.
Video Gain: Unity x2 gain for Y, Pr and Pb and RGBHV and PCM channels.

Control Methods

Front Panel Interface

Locally change input and output selections with front panel buttons.
Front panel LEDs indicate the status of the matrix switch connections.
Matrix switching status indicated by three rows of 8 LED's each.

IR Remote Control

Infrared Remote Control: pressing two digits on the remote performs the matrix switching operation.
Up to 15 units can be controlled by one remote.

RS232 Control

RS232 port provides connection to control systems such as Crestron, AMX, Panja, Dataton.
Up to 15 units can be controlled by the RS232 interface.
