  • Which Datapath products provide solutions for video and data wall applications?

  iH4 For graphics only data walls.
iH4-PRO For graphics and live video overlay.
iH4-DIG For graphics and live video overlays with Mosaic video windows.
iH4-SIP For graphics and high performance video overlays
Vantage4 For high resolution, high quality graphics only data walls.
Vantage4-PRO For high resolution, high quality graphics and live video overlay.
Vantage4-SIP For high resolution, high quality and high performance video overlays
Mosaic-SQ16 Designed to be used in conjunction with the iH4-SIP and the Vantage4-SIP, providing 16 high resolution, high quality video overlay windows with virtually no restrictions on position and size. The Mosaic-SQ16 also has an on board 32 x 16 video matrix switch.
Mosaic Designed to be used in conjunction with the iH4-DIG, provides up to 9 separate video overlay windows.
VisionSwitch Increases the number of video inputs from 4 to 16.
VisionSwitch32 Increases the number of video inputs from 4 to 32.
VisionRGB-PRO Captures RGB (VGA) and displays the captured video on to the wall.
VQS01 Controller Stand alone wall controller. Accepts VGA input (Analog or DVI) and splits the incoming picture into 4 (2 x 2).

  • What is the maximum display resolution supported by the Datapath iH4 card?
  The maximum display resolution is 1600 x 1200 per channel (analog) or 1280 x 1024 (DVI).

  • What is the maximum display resolution supported by the Datapath Vantage4 card?
  The maximum display resolution is 2048 x 1536 per channel (analog) or 1600 x 1200 (DVI).

  • What screen arrangements can I have with the iH4?
  The screens can be arranged in any rectangular format, for example, with 1 x iH4 card the screens can be arranged 2 x 2, 1 x 4 or 4 x 1.

  • What is the maximum number of screens supported by the Datapath iH4 cards?
  Up to and including 10 iH4 cards can be installed into a PC which allows you to drive a maximum of 40 displays. Also, each iH4 output can be expanded to drive 4 displays using the VQS01 Controller. This allows a maximum of 160 screens.

  • What is the maximum number of screens supported by the Datapath Vantage4 cards?
  Up to and including 16 Vantage4 cards can be installed into a PC which allows you to drive a maximum of 64 displays. Also, each Vantage4 output can be expanded to drive 4 displays using the VQS01 Controller. This allows a maximum of 256 screens!

  • How many video overlays can I have active on the wall using the iH4?
  Each iH4 card has 4 overlays, therefore, you can have 1 video overlay per screen. If used in conjunction with the Mosaic card, the iH4-DIG can display up to a maximum of 144 video overlay windows.

  • How many video overlays can I have on 1 screen?
  1 per screen.
If using the Mosaic card, 9 per screen.
If using the Mosaic-SQ16, 16 per screen.

  • Can a video overlay be sized over more than 1 screen?
 

Yes. Overlays can be any size, including the entire wall.
Note: Only 1 overlay per screen.

When used alongside the iH4-DIG/iH4-SIP, the Mosaic/Mosaic-SQ16 overlay windows can be randomely sized, overlapped and positioned anywhere on the Windows desk top.


  • How many video inputs does the iH4-PRO support?
  4 inputs. To increase the number of inputs the VisionSwitch and VisionSwitch32 can be used to expand from 4 to 16 or 32 inputs.

  • What is the maximum capture resolution supported by the VisionRGB-PRO?
  2 channels at 1600 x 1200.

  • How many RGB capture channels can I display on the wall?
  Using the VisionRGB-PRO2 card, you can capture 2 x RGB video sources and display them on the wall. You can have up to 32 VisionRGB-PRO2 cards in one system enabling you to capture up to 64 RGB sources.

  • Which Operating System does the iH4 support?
  Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP Professional and Red Hat Linux Version 7.

  • What is the update rate when capturing RGB video sources?
  Typically, for a 1280 x 1024 capture, the update rate would be around 35Hz.

  • Can I re-size an RGB capture window?
  Yes, you can up and and down scale an RGB capture window.

  • How many RGB capture windows can I display on one screen?
  Up to 32.

  • Can RGB windows overlap?
  Yes.

  • When I capture mulitple RGB capture channels does this effect the up-date rate?
  Yes, for example:
1 channel at 1280 x 1024 = 35Hz update
2 channels at 1280 x 1024 = 17Hz per channel
